I'm in a rut...

...so while I desperately try to remember how to write, watch this clip instead of one of my favourite authors, David Sedaris, reading one of his hilarious essays.

This is who I want to be when I grow up.

  1. Meh, you haven't forgotten how to write. You're just Fringe and Festivaled out, same as I am. Only a week left and we get our lives back, baby. Let's crack some fizzy gear to celebrate, ja?

  2. I laughed, I cried, a little bit of wee came out.. but oh wait!

*cough* and yes, being hit by festivals from every single (and inconceivable angle) well and truly does wonders to rot your ability to string sentences. and yet here I am still stupid enough to try and run my own blog on it. mmmmmm.. smell the frustration!

  3. In the words of that bratty kid from Kindergarten Cop..."maybe you've got a brain tumor?"

  4. PetStarr, i know this has nothing to do with the Sedaris essay which was brilliant, but i really wanna know what you think of Holden being kicked off the next season of Idol. Any thoughts?

  5. Anonymous - I am GUTTED. No, seriously. They've sizzled Holden's shemizzle and I think it SUCKS. If you want my opinion, they should dump Kyle and go back to the original three judges. (Or if you really want sparks, get rid of Marcia - remove the saftey blanket and toughen these Idols up a bit.) WHO'S GOING TO WEAR THE SUSPENDERS NOW?

  6. I'm so devo about Holden as well. Who will make inappropriate suggestive comments about the young contestants now? Dicko and Kyle actually seemed to get along last year, we can't have that, they both hated Mark! It will be so lame!

I love Sedaris. If anyone can help you get out of a writing rut, it's Sedaris.

  7. Hey PetStarr,
Top Model 4 is just around the corner. Think of this time as R & R before the main event.
